I APD reviews each one of the thousands of bills every year for their impact on park districts, forest preserves, conservation, recreation and special recreation agencies. Hundreds of these bills are monitored closely and each of the thousands of amendments that are filed as part of the legislative process are also reviewed.
IAPD keeps our members current with legislative information sent weekly via electronic Legislative Updates when the Illinois General Assembly is in session. Legal news briefs and legislative advocacy videos keep members informed of recent court decisions, new federal rules, important election information, deadlines and training opportunities. Electronic Legislative Alerts are sent to members when actions need to be taken on specific legislative issues.
